This unit introduces learners to Music Sequencing and the operation of sequencing based software. To build a career in the performing arts as a member of a production team. You will develop skills in Stage Management, Stage Lighting, Scenic & Costume Design, Set and Costume Construction, by working on productions. This is not a performance course but you do need to have an interest in making theatre and working with performers. Entry requirements: Either a BTEC First Diploma in Performing Arts/Art & Design with a Merit/Distinction profile or at least 4 GCSE subjects at Grade C or above. This is a two year programme for learners with learning difficulties aged between 16 and 25 who need support in their learning to enable them to progress into either independent living, supported employment or who wish to progress onto vocational programmes. Before you join us we will expect that you will have some plans for what you would like to do in the future and we will plan with you a personalised timetable to help you to work towards your goal.
Your programme will cover a range of subjects including Literacy and Numeracy, IT, Independent Living Skills and Work skills and will offer you a range of vocational experience and an Entry Level qualification in either Retail, Catering, Woodwork, Horticulture or Animal Care, as well as tasters in other areas such as Media, Travel and Tourism, Conservation.
