PROVISION
The site has been created and maintained solely by the ICT Co-ordinator. To encourage other staff members to upload data from their own class or curriculum areas we have been working with WebAnywhere, a web design company. Additions such as SpellAnwhere, Survey forms and bulk emails help to make the site more user friendly for staff, parents and pupils. Teaching staff are now uploading their class newsletters regularly and keeping their year group pages up to date by uploading homework, pictures and information. Much work has been done to encourage parents to communicate with the school through the website and well over 200 families now receive the school newsletter every week by email. It seems, however, that we are still not able to reduce the amount of paperwork that goes home.
The Senior Management Team and the admin staff regularly access the Admin network to update Assessment Manager and the pupils’ profiles. Data is distributed to staff for use in target setting, assessment, recording and reporting of pupils’ progress. All teaching staff now have a SIMS login and use this to register their classes.
Two great ways to present your work!
