Obituaries

Gerard ‘Jerry’ Nadeau

Gerard “Jerry” Nadeau, 80, of Hudson, died May 1, 2010, at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 16, 1929, in Nashua, son of the late Alcide and Beatrice (Pelletier) Nadeau. He was also predeceased by a daughter, Suzanne Hier in 2008; a grandson, Michael Hier in 1996; and a sister, Theresa Bellefueille. Jerry was the husband of Marguerite

(Desjardins) Nadeau of Hudson, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1946-1949.

Jerry was employed with Gregg & Son’s and later Triangle Pacific, retiring in 1991 after 43 years of dedicated employment. He enjoyed fishing and antique cars but his greatest joy came from spending time with his family. Besides his loving wife survivors include four sons and four daughters-in-law, Denis and Susan Nadeau of Hudson, Mark and Kathryn Nadeau of Bedford, David and Susan Nadeau of Marco Island, FL, and William and Christina Nadeau of Hudson; one daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Donald Huot of Kingston; a son-in-law, George Hier of Hudson; 10 grandchildren, a great- granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass was held in Blessed John XXIII Parish at St.

John the Evangelist Church in Hudson. Burial was in St. Louis Cemetery in Nashua. In lieu of flowers the family encourages donations be made

in Jerry’s loving memory to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, PO Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202. Arrangements were under the care of the Dumont-Sullivan

Aquatic Control Technology, Inc., 11 John Road, Sutton, MA 01590, Telephone (508) 865-1000, has been contracted by the Town of Hudson Conservation Commission to chemically treat Robinson Pond in Hudson for control of non-native fanwort and milfoil. The pond will be treated with the USEPA/State registered herbicides SonarOne, EPA Registration Number 67690-45 and Sonar A.S. herbicide, EPA Registration Number 67690-4. The initial application is scheduled for Tuesday, May 18, 2010. Follow-up applications will be performed at three to five week intervals as required – tentatively scheduled for June 14th and July 19th. These treatments will be performed in accordance with Special Permit SP-077 issued by the NH Division of Pesticide Control.

The following temporary water use restrictions will be imposed within and adjacent to treatment areas on the day of each treatment:

• No swimming on the day of treatment • Do not use this water for irrigation for 30 days from the specified treatment dates. If irrigation becomes imperative sooner than 30 days, contact Aquatic Control Technology, 11 John Road, Sutton, MA 01590-2509 (508-865-1000), email: info@aquaticcontroltech.com for further information. Failure to adhere to these use restrictions may result in injury to irrigated vegetation.

The shoreline of the pond will be posted with signs warning of the temporary water use restrictions that will be imposed, immediately prior to each treatment. If you have any questions concerning this treatment, contact Aquatic Control Technology, Inc. at the above address.

Pauline C. Barry

Pauline C. Barry, 67, of Londonderry, died April 25, 2010, at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester. Pauline was born on August 25, 1942, in Medford, MA, daughter of the late John and Alice (Murphy) Conway. She had resided in Londonderry for the past 10 years, formerly living in Tewksbury, MA. Pauline enjoyed conversing via the Internet with many online

friends.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, John L. Barry of Londonderry; two sons, John E. Barry and his wife Patricia of Hudson, and Kevin M. Barry and his wife Karen of Merrimack; one daughter, Lisa J. Laurencio and her husband Manuel of Londonderry; six grandchildren; two brothers, John Conway of Tewksbury, MA, and James Conway of Rochester, NY; also several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on April 29 in

St. Jude Parish in Londonderry. Burial followed in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington, MA. Memorials in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Arrangements were under the care of Peabody Funeral Home and Crematorium in Londonderry.
