I love light, fl oral fragrances for daytime but I want to

fi nd one that is a bit more sultry for the evening - what do you suggest?

Choosing perfume for the evening is a complex

decision - you do not want it to be overpowering and it depends on your plans. For instance, you would not want to go to the theatre wearing a strong perfume where you could overwhelm people. On the other hand, if you are going clubbing you could be much bolder with your choice; for example, something intriguing like L’Artisan Parfumeur Havana Vanille, one of our oriental fragrances, will put you in the mood for dancing with its cocktail of narcissus, rum and vetiver. Something heady, smoky and musky works for the evening: oriental and aromatic, spicy and woody are also good choices. Citrus scents are not as suitable as they tend to be naturally light. Our belief at L’Artisan Parfumeur is that once you have chosen your evening scent, it is best to accompany it with a matching shower gel and body cream, which will seal your perfume and make it last for the whole night. Perfume can react differently depending on where on the body you spray it. Victorian women sprayed their hair as it was said the perfume lasted longer due to the natural oils in their hair.
