A mixing
milestone
2010 sees Salter Housewares celebrate an important milestone in its 250th anniversary. The brand, which can trace its history back to 1760, has launched the Salter 1760 Anniversary Scale to mark the anniversary, which it celebrated in March. This special edition electronic scale has a 3kg dual dial electronic and mechanical display, and comes in be- spoke packaging. Its handy features ensure that it helps to continue Salter’s legacy as a global leader in creating high quality and stylish scales for use around the home. The Salter brand began its life in Bilston in 1760 when spring maker Richard Salter began making ‘pocket steelyards’, which is a scale similar to the fisherman’s scale of today. It has thrived since and proudly claims to have launched the UK’s first bathroom scale.
