Exploration estimates indicate that Tanzania has some 53.9-million pounds of uranium oxide (U3O8) deposits. The country could potentially begin production in the next three years.

The event will unite government stakeholders, mining companies, business leaders, and industrial suppliers to discuss opportunities and practical insight into new legislation and doing business in Angola. There will also be a product showcase. The Angolan Ministry of Geology, Mining and Industry is set to adopt a new Mining Code in 2010, expected to refresh mining regulation dating from 1992, in support of a dynamic industry.
Angola is diversifying its mining base away from primary reliance on diamonds. Copper mining is set to resume in the Mavoio region later in the year, potentially around the site of the former Mavoio mine, which last operated

I was part of a series of safety turnarounds where many millions of fatality free and lost time injury free shifts were achieved. The latest millions were made at Saffy Shaft, which had been fatality free since inception nearly 10 years ago. I have been one half of a great marriage for 17 years.
Where do you see SA mining in a year's time?
I see a positive shift in safety awareness and safety performance in the platinum sector.
What is your secret for success?
