Pupils discover
a life with no sight
The Cornwall Blind Association held a coffee morning at Torpoint Library.
Volunteers served
refreshments and volunteering and local services manager Pat Fawcett, and Christine Crossey, the local coordinator in East Cornwall, gave advice and showed items that help the visually-impaired.
A group of students from Torpoint Community College were able to see these items and experienced first hand problems the visually-impaired suffer by trying simulation spectacles.
Mayor and mayoress Mike and Val Pearn supported the event.
