Joyful Yoga offers relaxing mom’s day treat

Free chair massages will be offered to women before and after Joyful Yoga Studio classes from 9 a.m. to noon Sat., May 8 and 15 on a first come, first served basis.

For those attending the 10:15 a.m. Relax and Renew Yoga class, a complimentary 10-minute massage will be given as a “special treat” for Mother’s Day. Joyful Yoga Studio owner Syd Hoffman says a massage can lower blood pressure, offer immediate headache relief, boost the immune system and improve circulation, and along with a class, can recharge tired moms. “Relax and Renew Yoga is a fantastic all-levels class designed to promote stronger balance and increase range of motion; it also enhances mental clarity, peace of mind, and emotional well-being,” explains Hoffman. “Couple that with a quick, easy chair massage and mom will be feeling completely rejuvenated – which is just what she’s been looking for!”

“You can taste that we make everything from scratch,” says Geesey, “even our dressings like the white balsamic with cracked pepper used on the caprese.”

Although there are creative offerings such as the spicy grilled Mahi tacos ($10) and the portabella sandwich with English cucumbers, oven roasted tomatoes, piquillo peppers, shallots, spinach and Swiss on a potato roll ($10), Bernard’s famous half- pound burger ($10) still dominates lunch orders. At dinner, the homemade pastas ($14 to $18) and

grilled Choice Angus filet ($26) are among the most requested. A children’s menu is available. Make reservations for Bernard’s sumptuous Friday evening Italian buffet feast ($21.95).
