Burns It Up to perform at SL Country Club

Theatre group entertains at Santan Elementary

Members of the Burns It Up and Burns It Up Too musical theatre groups and their families helped Santan Elementary students during the school’s recent annual Spring Carnival.

Jen Peters of Hullabaloo “hired” the company members and their families to supervise the inflatable bouncy houses and obstacle courses, and in turn, donated $500 to help with the purchase of sound equipment.

Burns-it-Up, a nonprofit organization in Chandler, performs regularly for local and national charity events. They have been in need of their own microphones and additional sound equipment. “Hullabaloo’s generous donation will go far toward letting the kids’ voices be heard,” says Director Karen Burns. “We’re hoping to have our new equipment in place by the May 21 show at Sun Lakes Country Club, which will help St. Mary’s Food Bank.” The Burns It Up, Burns It Up Too, Burns It Up Beyond and the Improv Class are all scheduled to perform at the year-end performance. It will be followed by auditions for the 2010-11 season, which are by appointment.

Burns It Up performs for a variety of worthy causes, including for breast cancer research, Save the Family, Books for a Better World, MDA, animal shelters, homeless shelters, juvenile diabetes, etc.
