one grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Crowley Sr. Patricia Matteson died March 23. She was a senior family preferred member who joined the club in 1948. Michael D. Eilers died March 19. He was a senior family preferred member who joined the club in 1980. Eilers was born in Portland in 1942.
He graduated from Central Catholic High School, and was later honored as one of the first inductees into the Central Catholic Athletic Hall of Fame. He attended Oregon State University on a baseball scholarship before entering the University of Oregon Dental School. He married Mary K. Heriza in 1967

and the couple moved to Stuttgart, Germany, where Eilers was stationed as a captain in the U.S. Army Medical Corps. He returned to Portland in 1970 and purchased a dental practice in Northeast Portland. Two years later, he moved his practice to Garden Home. Eilers devoted his time to a variety
of charities, including Medical Teams International, City Kids Fishing, and events organized through Central Catholic Alumni and St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. He was a member of Columbia Edgewater Country Club. Survivors include his wife; sons, Mark, Scott and Greg; seven grandchildren; mother, Mary Eilers; brother, Tom; and sisters, Sue Wheeler, Rose Donald and Peggy Jacobs.
