ith the widespread use of small digital cameras, video recorders and cell phone cameras, it is easy for members to capture memorable moments at the club. The House Committee reminds members to use good judgment and follow Club Rules to protect the privacy and security of other members. Taking photographs or making video recordings is strictly prohibited anywhere in the club where there is an expecta- tion of privacy, such as locker rooms,

Permission and common sense are important when posting photo- graphs or videos containing members’ images on websites such as Facebook. The Executive Office must give advance permission for filming, video recording or photography in the club or on club prem- ises by commercial entities, the media or other non-club organizations.

The House Committee enforces rules of conduct for members and guests by investigating infractions and recommending sanctions to the Board of Trustees. Recent House Committee actions approved by the board are listed below, along with reminders about the applicable club rules.

Rules reminders: Disregard for guest policies: Knowingly violating guest poli- cies, including but not limited to failing to
register athletic or social guests, pay appli- cable guest fees, disregarding frequency restrictions for athletic guests or failing to comply with any aspect of current guest policies. Juniors are not allowed to intro- duce guests. • A 43-year-old senior member failed
to properly sign in a junior-aged guest. The guest was later discovered in an athletic area and not accompanied by an adult sponsoring member. Member was suspended for two months for disregard of guest policies.
Theft or attempted theft from a
member, staff or club: Including theft of club property, products or services; and staff, member or guest property. • An 11-year-old junior admitted to
taking another junior member’s cell phone. Member was suspended for one year for theft.
