grabbing objectives of the strategies include: *achievement of a 50% reduction in the amount of construction, demolition and excavation waste to landfill *commitment to 25% of materials used in construction projects being responsibly sourced by 2012
*monitoring of all construction projects over £1 million so that they have biodiversity surveys carried out and the instigation of necessary actions by 2012 *budgeted funds in excess of £200m to remove barriers to growth and kick start renewable industries in the wind, tidal and nuclear sectors in the UK. The increased activity by the
Government is to be welcomed. The fact that institutions such as the Joint Contracts Tribunal (JCT) have been busy amending their standard documentation for some time is not entirely coincidental. The Government
