A Summer of Morris Dancing

LODESTONE morris dancers and musicians will be performing at a wide number of venues throughout the summer. From local pubs and weekend fetes to folk festivals.

You won’t find the familiar ‘Cotswold’ morris of men dancing in white and waving handkerchiefs here. Lodestone have opted for a lively dance style and costume based on the revived ‘border’ morris tradition of Shropshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

Look out for dances with names like: ‘Mr Dolly’,

‘Evesham Stick’, ‘Drunken Idiot’ and even one with

a local link: ‘Goose Fair’. If you feel you can’t bear to watch them anymore
