Spring into Summer at
Tavistock Garden Festival 2010
Following on from their very hot, sunny and successful event in 2009, Tavistock Town Councl are delighted to announce that the Tavistock Garden Festival will be taking place on Sunday 30th May from 10am to 4pm with FREE public admission.
For the 6th year the Pannier Market and Bedford Square will again play host to a variety of traders coming from all over the West Country offering a wide variety of plants & gardenalia. Each year the festival grows in popularity with traders and visitors coming back year after year and in 2010 the event is bigger than ever. The festival will feature some new traders this year along with old favourites all offering a great variety ranging from alpines to hostas, old roses & herbaceous perennials to bamboo and organic plants. This year the Devon branch of Plant Heritage (formally known as NCCPG) will have their own dedicated stall, and some of the Pannier Market’s excellent regular weekly stallholders will be taking part to offer visitors a greater choice. straight after the prestigious Chelsea Flower Show and gives budding South West gardeners an excellent opportunity to get some expert advice and purchase quality stock. For inspiration there will be a selection of garden displays provided by some of the
participating nurseries and with all the plant traders on hand to share their vast wealth of horticultural wisdom it is an ideal time to get some expert help in choosing the right plant for the relevant conditions.
The Pannier Market will also have various food establishments available offering refreshments and also provides easy disabled access and excellent facilities with award winning 5 star rated loos! Whatever your planting passions are there will certainly be a plant or few to suit your own style, garden & pocket! With both indoor and outdoor displays Tavistock Garden Festival 2010 promises to be a great day out whatever the weather with something for everyone to enjoy.
