Having trouble connecting to a printer over the network on a Windows 7 PC? You have probably tried everything to get it to work. Young Tim came across this recently and
discovered that there is a permissions issue with this particular issue of Windows. You need to go to C:\system32\spool\printers and set the permissions to everyone, or ask us to do it!
Fed up of the 2nd Internet Explorer window you open being a small window? Not a lot to get upset about you might think, but it does annoy some people and they required that we find a solution for it. If you are one of those whom it does irritate, then Google “iemaximizer.” It does as it’s name implies!
Google Streetview is a fantastic way of checking things out without having to go there and is now available all over the UK. So, you can look up an address that you might be visiting and look at all the landmarks on the way to the doorstep, but you can
even do it in remote locations such as Meavy or Sheepstor.
If you are with Vodafone for your mobile phone and you have to hang out of a window at work or home to be able to use it, then checkout Suresignal. At the moment it is unique to Vodafone, but I am sure the other networks will catch up. It is a device that uses your Broadband to provide a much stronger mobile network in your home for 4 users. There is a cost implication and it is cheaper for higher cost users.
Once again, email hi-jacking has been a feature of some of our calls from customers. Only now, it is no longer limited to individuals with Hotmail accounts, but AOL as well. It seems to be related to the fact that these users are regular visitors of Ebay. However, that may just be
coincidental. Our suggestion is to make sure that you have a proper password on your email account with capitals and numbers and at least 8 digits.
