Rabbi Berk invites CBI members to join him for these lively, one-hour discussions on diverse topics. We study contemporary issues using the Responsa literature of the Reform Movement of Judaism. No past study experience is required and participants may join us whenever they can attend (Hot Topics will break for summer after this meeting). Space is limited. RSVPs are requested one week ahead.
No fee. CBI members only. Bring your own lunch; beverages provided. Building parking $8 per hour.

Join digital photographer Steve Gould for discussion and practice in the fine art of digital photography. Learn to use your digital camera more thoughtfully in exploring the world around you.
Steve Gould found a new career in
photography after he retired from academia. In addition to traditional landscape photography, he draws his inspiration from the "underwaterscape" (he's an experienced SCUBA diver) and from compositions he finds on our local beaches.
Fee: $25 for CBI members; $35 for nonmembers (as space allows).

HELP RACHEL’S WOMEN’S CENTER: SERVE DINNER

WBI provides meals and companionship and collects items for this downtown shelter for homeless women. Please bring small toiletries, unused cosmetics, and new socks or underwear to WBI events, or drop them off at the CBI reception desk.

School was one of the top schools in America before 1960. By 2000 it was one of the most violent. Heart of Stone is the true story of Weequahic High School's quest to return to its former glory.
August 28: Adam: When Beth, a beautiful Jewish writer, meets Adam, a quirky downstairs neighbor, their connection exemplifies how reaching another person means bravely stretching into uncomfortable territory and can result in a liberating shake-up.
