June 9 marks the end of another great year of early childhood education at CBI. Our Preschool provides a warm, nurturing environment for young children and their families. Very limited space is available for the 2010-2011 school year, which begins September 13. Enrollment is open to children 18 months to 5 years. JUMP INTO CAMP BETH ISRAEL SUMMER 2010

Hop around the world with us as we explore art, science, drama and music! Our camp is open to the entire community. Choose from eight weekly sessions (three or five

days per week) of summer time fun for preschool-aged children, June 21 -August 13. Also this summer, we are offering four weeks of specialty camp, July 19-August 13, for children entering grades 1-3.

July 19-23: Super Moverz July 26-30: Junior Theatre August 2-6: Art in Action August 9-13: Mad Science All-Stars

SHABBAT MISHPACHAH (YOUNG FAMILY SHABBAT)

Fridays, May 7 and June 4 (no dinner), 6:00 p.m.

Shabbat Mishpachah is designed for families with young children and includes singing, prayers and stories. Join us for a family-friendly dinner after the service on May 7! RSVP online or call 858 535-1144, ext. 3120. $12 per adult/older child, $6 per young child (2-10), and $2 for toddlers (under 2). Reservations and payment due Monday, May 3.

SONGBIRDS MUSIC

Thursdays, 9:30-10:15 a.m.

This class, taught by Diana Davidson, is a community of families sharing songs, rhythm games, and instrument play together in a fun, safe, Jewish environment. You will enjoy music through developmentally appropriate activities that support and respect the unique learning styles of all children. The current session ends June 3. SHABBAT TOGETHER

with Early Childhood Director Tammy Vener, Friday, May 7, 9:30-10:15 a.m.

This class is free and open to all. Come celebrate Shabbat with singing, story time, celebration and snack. Meet new friends, bring your play group and enjoy a wonderful Shabbat morning.

MY FAMILY AND ME

Sunday, May 16, 9:30-10:30 a.m.

Learn all about Shavuot through stories, songs, art and cooking. This free program for families with children ages 6 months to 4 years celebrates Jewish holidays and traditions throughout the year. No RSVP needed. Bring a friend! This program is open to all.
