Another big victory puts SOAS top inmens’basketball league

SOAS basketball’s rise continued as they triumphed over strong Im- perial, UCL and St Barts QMUL teams to sit top of the ULU League with two games remaining.

SOAS’ dominance in basketball this season as they ran out 87-42 winners. The start of the first quarter was pretty close as both teams tested each

other’s defences, looking for weak- nesses. By and large these defences remained solid and by the end of the first quarter the score was low. However, right from the start of

SOASwas the better team throughout the game, playing

with their hearts and keeping their discipline in check

the second quarter SOAS dominated not only in defence but in offence right until the final whistle. UCL struggled with their discipline, one of their players fouling out within the first 15mins of the game and this continued through the game as

messages from all over the world in true SOAS style whilst the support court side has been pretty intense.

SOAS consistently pressed UCL. SOAS was the better team

throughout the game, playing with their hearts and keeping discipline in check. These combined to pro- duce a sterling and emphatic victory over their arch-rival neighbouring university. A big shout out must go to Ali

who was unfortunately taken out of the game with a couple of stitches in this match! This win came after a tight 57-53
