Who Needs another Health Expo?

H

ealth Expos seem to be popping up everywhere. However, if you’ve seen one, have you seen them all? I’m inclined to say empathically, no. We have had the recent experience of visiting the Puerto Rico, Natural Awakenings Annual Health Expo in January and this past weekend (April 17-18) we had the privi- lege of visiting the Texas Natural Health Expo in Tyler, Texas. Even though we’ve experienced many others due to our role as publishers of a Healthy Living maga- zine we feel that there was new health information available at all we’ve attended. The quality of the speakers at the Tyler event was superb. There was

Jordan Rubin, New York Times bestselling author of the Maker’s Diet and also founder of Garden of Life. Jordan shared his practical knowledge about the nutritive power of food which provides the foundation for extraordinary health. A few simple rules: all health begins in the gut cleanse often, four times a year, avoid caffeine, eat raw food and juice as often as possible and it is not necessary to be a vegetarian. Eat the high- est quality of food available both meat and vegetables. Doug Kaufmann has become one of the most influential voices in

natural health with his, Know the Cause program that has become the most viewed televised daily health talk show in America. Doug gave a presentation on how microbes and toxins in the food we eat can cause a wide variety of diseases from depression to hair loss and cancer. Yes, cancer. He has designed a multiphase program that helps you limit your exposure to fungi and their toxins while maximizing you body’s defenses against them. Sally Fallon Morell is a prolific author and the Weston A. Price

Founder. Sally blends her culinary expertise with a finely honed capacity to cut to the truth about our eating habits and their con- sequences. She explained why animal fats, properly prepared whole grains, enzyme-enriched foods and nourishing bone broths kept our ancestors healthy and we need these foods also. The key to health is found in nourishing traditional diets for those who wish to attain lasting beauty, strength and freedom from disease. One of her talks was on the benefits of whole raw milk from pasture-fed cows. If you heard this talk you’d be hard pressed to ever go for pasteurized milk again. Last but not least was Robert Scott Bell, a Homeopathic Practitioner

Foundation1

and radio talk show host who also served as the MC for the entire event. Robert revealed how millions have come to realize that vaccines and antiviral drugs may be more dangerous than helpful. He also hosted an uncensored discussion revealing that natural methods and substances are still available and can be far more effective than the harmful drugs.

It was a great and very educational weekend. Yours to all the best in health,

1 The Weston A. Price Foundation is a good source of information on natural health practices.
