European Approval for Waterproof Call Point
STI (Europe) have extended their range of EN54 approved products with the announcement that the Waterproof ReSet Call Point (WRP) has successfully passed testing to the European Standard for fire alarm systems. Already approved to the IP67 rating for dust and water ingress to ensure it is able to cope with the harshest of environments, the waterproof conventional fire outdoor model is now approved to EN54. It is a highly reliable and robust manual call point that mimics the feel of breaking glass but features a glass-free operating element.

Firex South sees the launch of the redesigned Victaulic FireLockEZ® Style 009H Rigid Coupling for fire protection piping systems. The improved design allows the coupling to be installed without the use of an impact wrench, offering the benefits of quick, easy, efficient connections to those equipped with standard hand tools. The new coupling utilizes the Victaulic unique installation-ready design. It fits directly onto the pipework with no need to disassemble, lubricate and re-assemble the coupling, and torque breakings for bolts are not required.
