Warendorf to Debut at kbb Birmingham 2010 and Unveil New Kitchen Concept by Philippe Starck
The new name in kitchens, Warendorf, is to make its debut at kbb Birmingham (Stand F24, Hall 19) and is set to be the talk of the show with the launch of its first collection by world-renowned designer, Philippe Starck. Jim Gettings, Managing Director of AFG and Warendorf in the UK says, “To launch the new Warendorf brand with a concept by Philippe Starck really does set the scene for what is to come from Warendorf. All our kitchens are made to order at our factory in Warendorf, Germany which has a 35 year history of producing quality kitchens”. There are four modular kitchens in the Starck by Warendorf collection; Library, Primary, Duality and Tower. As you would expect from one of the world’s most celebrated designers, Starck by Warendorf has many innovative and unusual features such as the use of mirrored glass on door fronts, Parisian baroque detailing, high gloss, exotic wood veneers, highly polished trumpet feet for tables and islands (to hide plumbing and electrics), highly flexible modular, tall, rotating towers which can be used to store anything from books to large electrical appliances. The look is incredibly glamorous and represents a massive departure from the traditional, made to measure built in kitchens of the past. The Starck by Warendorf Library Kitchen will be on display at the KBB Show, in real Makore wood veneer with pure white lacquer. Dramatic chrome trumpet legs support an oversized sink island completed with a stunning Silestone work surface in pure white Blanco Zeus.
