The quality of speech is as you would expect from telephone apparatus combined with the flexibility. There are only 3 connections, power, phone line and control. A visitor simply presses the required button on the panel which dials the telephone number or mobile number of the person they wish to visit. The resident presses a digit on their phone to allow access. Cordless phones are commonplace now, making answering a call as convenient as changing channel on a television.
