The New 3 in 1 Conversion

Envirograf have just launched Envir-e-flex the perfect answer to providing a 3 in 1 product for thermal insulation to L1B & L2B, airborne and impact sound and 70 minutes fire protection. Envir-e-flex consists of a reflective fire protective panel with an attached non-itch sponge. The Envir-e-flex panels can be used in loft conversions between trusses requiring only a facing of 9mm plasterboard to achieve excellent U values. Envir-e-flex can be used between joists and also between floors in new build projects.

standard and green inverted roofs and is the latest innovation from Jablite. Inverted, or protected membrane, roofs place specific demands on the insulation’s water absorption, water vapour transfer and compressive strength. Previously, customers had been forced to use extruded polystyrene (XPS) products for all inverted roof applications.

A new school build being heralded as ‘exemplar’ in sustainable design and construction has turned to

McVeigh Insulations to

achieve optimum performance and reliability in the construction process and beyond. McVeigh has utilized its expertise in engineering of large format - up to 7 m x 3.8 m - SIPs to create the building shell, using a combination of 150 mm and 180 mm thick panels for the walls and pitched roofs. Each panel is pre-fabricated off-site, then simply craned into position and fixed to the primary steel framework.

New Inverted Flat Roof Insulation Product Launched Klober Takes Control of Air Leakage

Klober’s new brochure ‘Taking control of air leakage’ explains how to develop an effective roof airtightness strategy, with specific reference to the use of vapour permeable membranes, vapour control layers and air barriers. It explains the nine method of assessment categories in the Code for Sustainable Homes, the principles of building fabric air permeability and requirements of Building Regulations and BREEAM. Managing Director David Arendell commented, “As we improve the thermal efficiency of new homes and move towards zero carbon construction, it is inevitable that air leakage will become even more significant.”
