the new 60-cover restaurant follows the opening of several new Bombay Bicycle delivery kitchens in recent months, including Balham, Holland Park and Hampstead, along with the City Kitchen, in St Paul’s. “I’m so pleased with the new open- ings and particularly our flagship site in Chelsea,” commented Shilpa Shetty. “Chelsea locals have now been blessed with the perfect restaurant to dine in for delicious Indian cooking. There are a whole range of superb dishes on the menu and a number of them only have less than 10% fat.”

Some notable dishes available at Bombay Bicyle include Kali Mirch ke Tukre (cheese and cream marinated chicken breast smoked in the tandoor,

flavoured with crushed black pepper), Murgh Masala and Gostht Kata Masala (lamb cooked in an onion, chilli and garlic sauce). There are also some interesting ice cream flavours such as Chilli Chocolate and Creamy Ginger and Honey.

Actress Shilpa Shetty, co-Chairperson of the V8 Gourmet Group, officially launched the Chelsea restaurant of the Bombay Bicycle chain in February. On the site of the former Vama restau- rant, the new Bombay Bicycle in King’s Road is one of four Bombay Bicycle restaurants in London. The launche of
