Kmon pitched a two-hitter to secure the win as the Campbell JV Softball team beat Sanborn, 4-2, in their home opener. In Varsity Baseball, the Cougars’ late rally came up short, leaving the tying run on third and dropping the season opener to Sanborn, 5-4. Gymnasts Shine at Spring Fling Meet

The Nashua School of Gymnastics Prep-Optional

team traveled to Granite State Gymnastics in Bow on Sunday, April 11, for the Spring Fling Meet. Many of the NSG gymnasts from the Novice, Intermediate, and Advance divisions placed in individual events and in the all-around. Their efforts combined earned NSG first place. Scores for the Hudson and Litchfield gymnasts are as follows: Prep-Optional Novice: 11-12 year olds: Julia Balukonis scored 35.85 (third) in the all-around, 8.65 on vault, 9.30 (first) on bars, 8.8 (second) on beam, and 9.10 (first, tie) on floor.

Prep-Optional Intermediate: 9-10 year old division: Olivia Christino scored 33.425 (fourth) in the all-around, 8.575 (second) on vault, 8.70 (second) on bars, 8.05 on beam, and 8.10 on floor. 11-12 year old division: Sarah Flynn scored 32.65 (fifth) in the all-around, 8.45 (second) on vault, 8.50 on bars, 8.10 on beam, and 7.60 on floor. Prep-Optional Advance: 13-14 year old division: Hailey Boulia scored 34.975 (fourth) in the all-around, 8.85 on vault, 8.40 on bars, 8.60 (first) on beam, and 9.125 (third) on floor.

April 10:

The Track team opened their season in strong fashion, competing in a seven-team meet at Belmont High School. The girls took second place, led by Becky Weiss, who won discus. Haley Bowen and Stephanie Loeb took second in shot put, and Jess Belzil placed third in javelin. Stephanie finished third in high jump, and Hayden Leith finished second in the 100-meter hurdles.
