Bella Vista Chamber of Commerce and presented by Walmart and Good Housekeeping.
“Northwest Arkansas has quietly and unexpectedly become the froner of sustainable business, led of course by the industry-changing standards set forth by Walmart,” notes Szaky.
“The NWA Green Expo will bring together manufac- turers, suppliers, shippers, and those who want to be at the forefront of these important changes; and Ter- raCycle is proud to have our name, products and services front and center at this new genesis of sus- tainable business,” he says.
“Whether on an individual, local or global level we are trying to make going green easier, more enjoy- able and less expensive. At the community level our free programs are available to any individual or or- ganizaon, as long as the money earned from col- lecng goes to a non-profit.”
Szaky notes that TerraCycle has collecon programs in place for manufacturers. “Even if a company does- n’t fit into any of our exisng categories, we’ve never met a waste stream we didn’t want to up-cycle,” he claims. “For retailers, we can provide waste soluons or collecon programs and offer our up-cycled prod- ucts for sale, from Walmart to ‘mom and pop shops.’”
“My presentaon (at the NWA Green Expo) will chal- lenge people to rethink what they consider waste,” says Szaky. “It will show people the great need for beer end-of-life soluons for the myriad packaging forms we use and discard everyday. Whether through a potenal partnership with TerraCycle or simply a change in the way they see things, people will never look at a trash can the same way again.”
