Located between Torquay and Newton Abbot in beautiful South Devon, it offers an outstanding collection of rare and exotic flowers, trees and shrubs from around the world, many of which can be bought in the adjacent rare plant nursery.

Plant World has a reputation for producing unusual flowers and vegetables and they are now releasing the amazing – and almost disease- and blight-resistant – tomato, ‘Tommy Toe’. This high-

yielding heirloom tomato from the Ozark Mountains of America produces small to medium, apricot-sized, soft sweet fruits. In 1993, The Australian Diggers Seed Company had a tomato taste test when the official tasters included prominent chefs and gardening experts, who all turned up at Dromana, Victoria. Out of all the tomatoes tasted (more than 100), Tommy Toe came up number one. This is the tomato that you eat as you’re walking through the garden and is the ideal choice for cooler growing regions.
