The Cleveland Indians were once called the Spiders.

On May 30, 1922 the Cardinals and Cubs played a doubleheader. In the first game Max Flack played outfield for the Cubs and Cliff Heathcote played outfield for the Cardinals. They were traded between games for each other and in the second game each played the outfield for the other team.

That only once have all four #1 seeds in the NCAA Tournament made it to the final four together in the same year (2008).

The first World Series night game was played in 1971.
