Parenting training classes open to public

Life coach Ruth Lucas, known as “The Kid Whisperer,” discusses “stress-free parenting” in a series of eight classes from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Fridays through May 21 at the Tumbleweed Recreation Center.

“The great thing about these classes is that it’s never too late to start,” Lucas says. “Whether the child is in the early childhood stages or is an adolescent, these skills can be used immediately and to great effect.” Through her company Lucas seminars, Lucas also offers parenting classes at Chandler Christian Church, where she is currently facilitating classes in Becoming a Love and Logic Parent on a volunteer basis; the Pregnancy Care Center; and Tumbleweed. She has facilitated workshops for marriages in crisis by request and provides private, in-home parenting coaching. For more information, call 480-466-4609 or visit www.lucasseminars.com.
