mental Outreach) commenced in Au- gust of 2008 when members of the high school's Community Problem Solving team—an international program that encourages students to use a problem solving process to acknowledge and al- leviate concerns in their community— collaborated in their common desire to help the environment. GEO team began the journey of selling the idea to the School Board. Through- out the year, a close partnership with Think BioSmart was formed and the fueling of a pilot bus with biodiesel was televised with the hopes that the county's bus fleet would ultimately be converted to the eco-friendly alterna- tive.

This year, Project GEO has turned their focus to alternative energy sourc- es. Of the original team, four members have remained: Stephanie Gopal, Ash- ley Hawes, Andrea Wakefield and Kate Brendel. They have been joined by two new eager members, Adrian Lujo and
