New Believers

Christian Essentials is a class for new believers, which meets Sundays at 9:30 a.m. in the Fireside Room, east of the Worship Center.

Tyler Hudson, 9,

joins by profession of faith and baptism. He attends with his parents Mike and Tricia Hudson.

Sue Frisby joins

by profession of faith and baptism. She learned of the church from her daughter Jenne Frisby.

Truett Smith

joins by letter from a sister church. His wife Sarah joins by statement. They learned of the church from John and Karen Anderson.

Membership Information

At Idlewild, our desire is to have a church body full of committed, devoted members. Attracting church attenders is one thing, but having committed, devoted members helps make a healthy church. If you are looking for a church to call your own and are willing to minister to others while being ministered to, join us!

At the end of each worship service, a song is sung and the pastors stand at the heads of the aisles facing the congregation. This is known as the “invitation.” Simply step into the aisle and walk up to one of the pastors at that time. Tell the pastor you want to join the church and he will direct you from there.

Membership Requirements

It’s as simple as A-B-C... Accept Christ as your personal Savior. Baptized by immersion after salvation. Complete Discovering Membership 101.

Come forward during the invitation to apply for church membership.

Baptism

Baptism is usually observed at the beginning of our worship services on Sundays and Wednesdays. Come forward during the invitation time to schedule an appointment for baptism. For more information, call 264- 8729.
