How Did I Get Into The Game
I was attending boarding school in Oamaru. The hostel manager made it compulsary for everyone to play a sport. In the school notices, it mentioned that one of our teachers plays croquet and was willing to coach students (Brian Monkton) so I chose croquet to get the manager off my back, turned out that I quite liked the sport. And could I take the opportunity to thank Brian for all the time he spent on us? if it wasn't for him, I would never have played.
When Did You Know You Could Play
As above. It took me about 2 months before I could understand what I was doing but then everything clicked all at once.

It was actually a local Tournament, Bay of Plenty GC Open 2010 where EVERYTHING was flawless, management, spirit, food, etc, perfect.
The Future Of The Sport
I'm not quite sure what you mean by this question, but I will try and answer it.MY FUTURE, I will be playing for as long as I live/as long as I physically can and my main goal is to be the first non-Egyption to win the WCFGCOpen. FUTURE OF CROQUET IN GENERAL, as here in NZ, we are getting many new players, and by which the majority is taking up GC, I believe that GC is going to be the dominant version. Getting schools involved is a really geat idea to help keep the sport "alive."
Pop Culture
I enjoy; MUSIC: 80's, 90's, Latin rock, pop rock, easy listening, favourite artists are 'Sting and the Police' and 'Hall and Oates'. MOVIES: French Horrors, Assasin/hit man, thrillers, movies with large twists, and the occasional chick flick.
Quick Croquet Tip
Take risks and make decisions based on your own ability, then if you get it wrong, practice getting it right for next time. And have fun!
