Bach was a visionary healer who recognized that the spiritual and emotional dimensions of health affect the physical body. Once he became aware of the interrelationship between mind and body, he left his practice to develop a new healing modality derived from the fresh blossoms of plants.

Flower essences are extremely diluted extracts from
flowers that are used to improve emotional, spiritual and physical health. They are highly effective, non-toxic preparations that address core issues of wellness, espe- cially emotions, stress, mental attitudes, spiritual values and life purpose. Bringing balance in these areas is a major factor in developing excellent mind/body health. The essences can be employed in a variety of contexts and can offer an alternative source for healing. Flower essences can enhance well-being along
with chakra healing. The areas of energy blockages are related to emotional and, spiritual states, which influ- ences our physical well being. When the flower es- sences are utilized with energy treatments, people feel healthier, more vibrant and in the flow of life.

oga is a great way for children to calm and center themselves. It can be especially beneficial for chil-
tion-free space where your child can sit or lay down. Let your child pick the area that will be his or her quiet space when your child needs to be calm. Your child also can help select a blanket, yoga mat, pillow or even a stuffed animal. The length of time for a child to be in the quiet space varies depending on the
child; however, the general rule of thumb is that a child’s attention span correlates to age. Thus, seven minutes of quiet time probably is about right for a seven-year old and ten minutes is about right for a ten-year old.
