LINPAC ‘supplier of the year’ in first SOCIUS NETWORK award
LINPAC Packaging has been given the Supplier of the Year Award by the SOCIUS Network in the associa- tion’s first-ever award event. The accolade was decided by the members of The SOCIUS Network, an associa- tion of independent non-food distributors in the catering sector, who voted for their favourite suppliers across a range of criteria including communication, product quality, customer service, account manage- ment and strategic commitment. LINPAC Packaging beat off 49 other suppliers, coming out ahead of Dis- posables UK in second place and Wrapfilm Systems in third. First Kosme blowmoulder for UK
Enquiries at Drinktec have developed into the first UK sale of Kosme’s blowmoulder. “At this years show, Kosme synchro-blocked a 6 cavity blowmoul- der to a Kosme 50 valve filler/10 head capper.” Explains Richard Portman, Managing Director of Kosme UK. “Our UK customer was so impressed with the quality of the Kosme unit that he placed an order at the show, the machine is being delivered this month, which will be good for the spring and sum- mer.” Kosme’s parent company has supplied many of the key components, which has enabled Kosme to develop a range of blowmoulders that are signifi- cantly less expensive to operate. LINPAC division wins Dulux
Australia 'Supplier Excellence Award'
LINPAC Viscount, the division of LINPAC Group serving the Asia Pacific region, has received the ‘Dulux Australia Supplier Excel- lence Award’ in the much sought-after DuluxGroup Supplier of the Year Awards 2009. The win follows the division’s intro- duction of its tinplate-replacement plastic Nupail paint container – incorporating inno- vative Paint Skinning Adhesion Technology. Dulux Australia is part of the newly named DuluxGroup. Every year since 1991 Dulux- Group has presented awards to preferred suppliers that demonstrate the highest levels of performance across a variety of areas. ‘Supplier Excellence’ and ‘Special Commen- dation’ certificates are awarded in each category, along with an overall Supplier of the Year accolade covering all divisions. Altogeth- er more than 3,000 companies provide products and services to the DuluxGroup, and 120 suppliers to Dulux Paints, Powder and Industrial Coatings, Selleys and Yates in Australia and New Zealand participated in the rating process in 2009. Over the course of the year these suppliers were evaluated twice against a range of demanding criteria, with LINPAC Viscount achieving the highest rank as a supplier to Dulux Australia.
