The House of Grossmith, rival to great French fragrance houses in the late nine- teenth and early twentieth centuries, has been revived by Simon Brooke, great-great grandson of founder John Grossmith. Three of the original fragrances which once graced so many high society dressing tables have been launched in newly-designed, oval reeded bottles produced in 100ml, 50ml and 10ml by STO-Flaconnage. The Holmes & Marchant branding and design agency has worked with Simon Brooke to devise the vi- sual identity of the revived Grossmith line. Original bottle shapes, decorative designs and typefaces have been drawn on to pro- duce an up-to-date design concept that has its roots firmly in the past. Caps have been supplied by PlusImage and pumps by Em- sar. The international Stölzle Glass Group has its headquarters in Köflach, Austria and its five production sites include STO-Fla- connage of Knottingley, West Yorkshire. The group provides a wide range of both custom moulded and standard bottles.

Each of the five sides of the pentagonal shaped bottle represents one of the key Celtic botanical ingredients. This is then threaded through to the five-pointed asterisk, or brand mark, which takes influence from the base of the red Rowan Berry. The Celtic word for 'established' is used on the neck label to highlight the distillery her- itage. The wooden closure features the botanical wheel, which shows the direct relationship from each point of the embossed asterisk.
