What do you see for your future in the creative industry?

That whatever I produce I am enjoying making it, I hate things becoming a chore which is why many things I used to make I don’t do now.

What advice would you give someone trying to start their own creative business?

First and foremost only go down this route if you really enjoy what you make. If it’s turning into more of a chore than a pleasure then I would suggest reining it back to a hobby then wait and see where that takes you. That aside, I’d say really consider your prices, I’m pretty poor at this and I know I am not alone, just don’t undercharge or undervalue your work. Oh and finally blog! Seriously it’s a good way to keep people

informed of what you’re up to, what new things are being worked on, and just gives people a nice insight into the creator of the pieces that they will go on to purchase from you.

If you had time to learn a new skill what would it be?

I think I would end up spending my time trying to decide what skill to learn. If I had to narrow it down I’ve always been interested in clocks, so I would say learning how to make them from scratch. Perhaps not the simplest of things to learn but…
