Drawing lessons with acclaimed artist
Acclaimed local artist Richard Barry is currently offering painting and drawing lessons in his studio near Looe.
He started his art education at Plymouth School of Art, and then attended Stoke-on- Trent School of Art where he gained a degree.
Later he moved to London, working for major clients in

Plan for new bus to benefit trade
Businesses in Looe and Polperro may see a boost in trade this summer thanks to plans for a new bus service linking the two towns during the evenings.
The service is due to run from the end of May to the end of October, from 6.45pm to 11.45pm.
It would be funded by Looe Town Council, Lansallos Parish Council and Cornwall Council if it gets the go-ahead, costing the taxpayer £10,000.
Cornwall Council has agreed to contribute £5,000 to the project, while Lansallos Parish Council is contributing £1,000 and Looe Town Council is contributing £4,000.
There is currently no bus service out of Polperro during the evenings.
It is hoped the service will encourage residents and visitors to use pubs, shops and

Town councillors also hope that it will encourage the use of public transport and give a much-needed lifeline to young people and the elderly.
Edwina Hannaford, Cornwall councillor for West Looe and Lansallos, commented: ‘We want to make sure that people can properly use the night-time economies of Looe and Polperro.
‘This is a good example of three councils working together to benefit residents and visitors alike.’
The contract, which would be run on a trial basis for this summer season, will now be offered out to tender.
The town council confirmed that the bus, priced at £3.50 for a return fare, will have disabled access and will also accept concessionary fares.
