Community hall will be warmer
Residents in Looe can now enjoy a warmer community hall, thanks to grant funding.
A total of £15,000 was donated to St Martin’s Community Hall in East Looe in order to make it more energy efficient. The exterior walls were replaced and loft insulation was installed, courtesy of Sita Cornwall Trust, Viridor Credits and the Cornwall Community Foundation.

Brian McQuillen, said: ‘This really is a facility for everyone to use, so these improvements will help us greatly.
‘Through the generosity of the grant funding bodies, we’ll be a lot warmer and the community will be able to use it a lot more.’
A cheese and wine reception attended by community representatives was held in the hall as part of a dedication ceremony for the renovated building.
