Don Doonan, president and CEO of Accessible Accessories, recently received a $50,000 Innovation Voucher from the province which will be used to enhance their computer system.
General Motors’ car dealerships the use of the computer program free of charge for three months. Today they supply the program to Chrysler, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Nissan and Kia dealerships who pay a monthly fee.
The Innovation Voucher money will go towards creating a 3-D system.
“We’ll create our own 3-D images so the customer can look at their chosen vehicle, on the computer monitor, in different colours and see exactly how it will look with various accessories installed,” said Doonan.
Accessible Accessories has a local staff of five who provide a support service and Doonan says he recognizes the importance of employees particularly in a software company like his.
“We are fortunate to have an awesome staff and we appreciate it.”
