Swindon Designer Outlet’s on-site STEAM
– Museum of the Great Western Railway
offers the chance to learn about the men and women who built, operated and travelled on the
Great Western Railway. STEAM is open from 10am to 5pm every day of the week throughout
the year, except Christmas Day. This year marks 175 years of the Great Western Railway at Swindon Designer Outlet and the outlet
is hosting a series of special events to celebrate this milestone in railway history. Celebrations
include a Thomas the Tank Engine weekend in
May, a street party celebration on August bank holiday weekend, a Lego fair in October and numerous heritage tour days throughout the year.
