Citymoves present

Fusion and special guests

Fusion are citymoves youth dance company. They will be performing new choreography developed over the past year and will be joined by special guest dancers from local performance groups for an evening of contemporary dance. Fusion have worked with leading Scottish and international choreographers and dance companies, including Natasha Gilmore, Janice Claxton, Smallpetitklein, Bare Bones Dance Company and Retina Dance Company.

Forensics on the Brain

Based at the Foresterhill medical site and the Royal Cornhill Hospital, Dr Partha Gangopadhyay researches in the area of medical education, ethics and law. His area of expertise, forensic psychiatry, is frequently relied upon in court cases and other areas where expert opinions on mental health are needed. In this Café Scientifique session he will be chatting about his work, a lesser-known area of science happening on our doorstep, but nonetheless one which he freely describes as “fascinating”.

Tim Richards

Noted jazz pianist, composer and educator, Tim Richards, plays a rare solo concert. The programme will feature a range of jazz standards, Monk, Ellington, blues, gospel, some new original compositions for piano and selected tunes from his books ‘Improvising Blues Piano’ and ‘Exploring Jazz Piano’.
