Use eyelets in the side bars to prevent wire from gouging wood. Our Spur Embedder (HD-145) tool is used to push the wire into wax foundation.

Eyelets are used in the small holes in the end bars to prevent reinforcing wire from gouging wood. Use an Eyelet Punch (HD-180) to simply punch the eyelets into the holes. Style may vary.

Support Pins
Use instead of wire to prevent foundation from sagging. Insert the support pin through pre-drilled holes in the end bars to hold the foundation. Many beginning beekeepers who use wax foundation prefer this method because it is much easier than cross wiring foundation.
