How to Increase the value of your home.
For most of us, our biggest asset is our house, so it’s important to make the most of it when
you’re planning to move. Here are a few quick and easy ways to add thousands to your
home.
1) Get green-fingered
Keep the lawn mowed, dispose of any rubbish and pull up any weeds. It’s also a nice touch
to plant a few flowers as they create the impression of a well-maintained property.
2) Freshen up paint
It’s amazing how a fresh lick of paint revitalises a room, as well as minimising obvious wear
and tear.
3) Declutter
Buy some wicker baskets and collect all those things which are left lying around. Clear
kitchen worktop space and remove any drawings and magnets from the fridge. If you have
to fight to get through the door, sort through all the shoes and coats and pack away any
you don’t need.
4) Smells good
Flowers such as coloured lilies create a display as well as a lovely scent. If you don’t have
a lot of room to play with, buy a fragrance diffuser as the smell is less overpowering than a
plug-in.
5) Stoke the fire
Your house needs to be at a comfortable temperature to give the impression of being well-
insulated.
