In this coming of age tale about two brothers—one an alpha male
and the other his loyal minion—younger brother Eddie goes from
being a lackey for his older brother Jay to becoming the top dog.
The heart of the story however, is not how he does this, but what
he loses in the process. [adult content, language, violence]

Director’s Statement
During a conversation with a group of child-
hood friends, I was struck by the idea for the
film. The conversation revolved around the
schoolyard fights we had gotten into as
young teens. At first, we laughed, regaling tales of our battles,
but suddenly the tone shifted. This sadness wasn’t a yearning
for our past, but the fact that we all had these violent confronta-
tions as teens. These fights were the markers of our transition
from childhood to adulthood. But there was no celebration in
this, rather we were more nostalgic for what we had lost.
