Spring Fling Women’s Dance
Mix and mingle or just dance the night away with your partner or friends. It’s
time for the Spring Fling Women’s Dance presented by The L.A. Gay and Lesbian
Center. This evening of great music and dancing for the lesbian community and
friends takes place on Friday, March 19 from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. at The Village at
Ed Gould Plaza located at 1125 N. McCadden Place in Los Angeles. For additional

Men Alive’s “Academy Affair” Gala fundraiser
The Anaheim White House restaurant is hosting this year’s “Academy
Affair” gala fundraiser on Saturday, March 6, the evening before the
Academy Awards. The Chorus has joined forces with celebrity restaura-
teur Bruno Serato to bring you Hollywood and Broadway-style glamour
in the newly opened, “West Wing” of his historic restaurant located at 887
South Anaheim Blvd. Academy Affair kicks off with a VIP Reception begin-
ning at 5:30 p.m. With exclusive access to award honorees, the board and
artistic staff of the Chorus, and an intimate performance by Men Alive’s
own ensemble “Bel Canto.” Bringing his own special flair to the event is
the one and only Leslie Jordan! Leslie is the 2006 Emmy Award Winner for
Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for his delicious portrayal
of “Beverley Leslie” on Will and Grace. You may also remember him for his
recurring roles on Ugly Betty, Boston Legal and Reba. There’s certain to
be a performance up his sleeve during the event. Attendees will enjoy
champagne and appetizers as they mix and mingle and take away their
very own VIP Swag Bag! General admission to Academy Affair starts at
6:30 p.m. and everyone is invited to dress in black tie or styled as their
favorite celebrity. All proceeds go toward funding Men Alive’s amazing
full-staged concerts, now celebrating our ninth season of song! More

Human Rights Campaign L.A. Gala Dinner
The Human Rights Campaign and the Los Angeles Dinner Committee are proud
to present a gala dinner event on Saturday, March 13 at 5:30 p.m. The dinner will
benefit the incredible and life-changing efforts of the Human Rights Campaign.
During the event Barbara Boxer will be the featured speaker and receiving the
HRC Visability Award will be activist and actress, Portia di Rossi. The evening
begins with a general reception and silent auction followed by dinner and the
