A day in the life of …a lifestyle concierge
Andrea Williams owns and runs Assorti Ltd, a lifestyle management company in
Windsor
http://www.assorti.co.uk/index.html. She spends her day helping other
people organise their days, so they can spend more of their free time doing what Andrea Williams
they like. Assorti Ltd T: 01753 840680
8:15am: I'm just finishing my first cup of tea of the day. Assorti's hours are 8:30am-6pm but the phone can go any
time from 8am, so I have to be ready to take calls.
8:30am-10:30am: I take calls, carry out research for clients and make bookings. I have a time-clock which I use to
"punch in and out" of every individual job. This morning, I'm sourcing and booking underfloor heating for a client's
house, sorting out a licence for a boat and finding a villa for another client's holiday. I love it all and enjoy being
organised.
10:30am-12pm: I go to a client's home in Maidenhead to meet a contractor who I've booked in to carry out work
on the property. He's clearing gutters and sorting out a roof.
12:15pm: On my way to another client's house, I collect some dry cleaning and make some phone calls to
emergency plumbers for a client in need.
12:30pm-1:30pm: I'm at a home in Windsor, overseeing some workmen who are refitting a kitchen. Everything's
going well and the client is pleased with progress.
3pm: I'm back at my desk, having dropped off the client's dry cleaning and paid a visit to some local suppliers who
are providing items for a client's 60th birthday party I'm organising. The Assorti Smart car is working hard for me
today.
5pm: I finish a couple of hours on the phone: returning voicemails, chasing up an insurance claim and organising
suppliers.
5:30pm: I plan tomorrow's work day. I always do this the night before, breaking every day down into units of one
hour to make sure that my time - and therefore my clients' time - is spent productively.
Assorti: making time for you.
