Inspiration can come from anywhere. What inspires
you? As a physician, I am daily touched by the awe-
some resiliency of the human body and spirit. As a
wildlife artist, I am moved to capture the elegant intri-
cacies of a feather on paper. As a gentlewoman farmer,
I am roused by the natural cycles and metamorphoses.
As a mother, I am motivated to protect and nurture
life. All of these inspire me to act in large and small
ways that make a difference.
