Virgin Active Launches Sno camp
Virgin Active, the international, U.K.-based chain,
recently joined with Power Plate to introduce a
new program called Sno Camp, a six-week course
of 45-minute sessions for people who want to
get ready for the ski season. The workout, which
utilizes Power Plate’s vibrating platform, intensi-
fies week by week, preparing users’ legs and core
to improve reaction speed, sensory awareness,
and endurance.
“We’re proud and excited to be able to offer
our members such a comprehensive package
as Sno Camp,” says Malcolm Armstrong, the
national personal-training manager for Virgin
Active. “over 10,000 British citizens are injured
on the slopes each year. We hope that by helping
them train their muscles in the correct way, we’ll
help make snow sports more pleasurable and
less painful.” The course was offered to Virgin
Prepping for Virgin snow
Active members through February at more than
35 locations in England. —|
