BCA holds annual dinner
The Bangladesh Caterers’ Association
recently held its Annual Dinner and
Awards ceremony 2009 at the Park
Plaza Riverbank Hotel in London.
The Prime Minister, who was unavail-

in which he paid great tribute to the
work of the BCA and to the British
curry industry. He highlighted the very
important contribution the industry
has made to the nation’s economy,
wealth and culture. Douglas Alexander
MP, Secretary of State for International
Development, also complimented the
BCA for its hard work and recognised
the concerns raised on climate change
and the effects of climate change in
Bangladesh.
The BCA event comprised an awards
presentation interspersed with the
dinner and entertainment by renowned
dancers and musicians including the
opera singer Anne Marie Cullum. BCA
