Florence Nightingale once asked, “Do you think it is possible to be a religion whose essence is common
sense?”
We found this question in her autobiography, and were excited to answer, “Yes! There is! The Earth
religions are such that their essence, their dogma so to speak, is common sense.”
It has been a long time since the Holy Book of Women’s Mysteries was first published. It started as a
small hand printed brochure, then reprinted again and again because the demand, the hunger for
spiritual information for women was so deep.
Today it holds the herstory of a spiritual awakening of modern women. I see this book as the
revolutionary child of suffragist Elisabeth Cady Stanton who saw religion as a major reason for women’s
oppression. Religion of her day deified the gender apartheid, and devalued women as decedents of the
Eve, who were blamed for the lost paradise (climate change as it turns out) for all humanity. This
religious agreement, to blame women for the laws of nature, is most unfair … an ignorant crime against
the spirit of women. This is the big bad cloud we had to dispel. We don’t merit punishment. We merit
great praise that we as women managed to continue the human race in spite of all those cruel climate
changes.
The Holy Book of Women’s Mysteries gently leads you back to your own sacred heritage as women.
Women’s culture included specialized holydays celebrating life, death and all that is in between. That’s
the essence of the Holy Book of Women’s Mysteries.
In order to value ourselves, we first have to clean up the self-hatred
installed into us in childhood. We offer spells for Blessing on our
bodies, spells to keep us safe and healthy, blessings on our decisions
and goals.
When a woman studies this book, she comes away with inner skills
taught nowhere else in the universe. Feminism is a good word in the
Holy Book of Women’s Mysteries, we become aware that we are not
the first wave of women coming to consciousness, but we follow a
thread of female soul evolution from time immemorial. We learn
